At Two Chairs, we take your privacy seriously. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our app and website.
Two Chairs is operated by Promixa Labs, Inc. ("we", "us"), a Delaware corporation. We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly:
- Account information: Phone number, name, gender, date of birth, and location.
- Content: Video clips you record, your picks, and chat messages with matches.
- Purchases: Whether you have a membership, its plan and its renewal dates. Payments are handled by Apple or Google; we never see your card details.
- Waitlist: Email address when you join our waitlist.
We also collect information automatically:
- Device information (model, OS version) and a push-notification token
- Usage data (features used, interaction times)
- Crash reports and diagnostics, to find and fix problems
- Your device's location, when you allow it (for matching within your area)
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and improve the Two Chairs service
- To match you with compatible people in your area
- To send push notifications about your weekly match and cycle updates
- To moderate content and ensure community safety
- To communicate service updates (not marketing spam)
3. Data Protection
We use industry-standard security measures including:
- Encryption of your phone number, name and account identifiers in our database (AES-256-GCM)
- Secure, encrypted data storage and retrieval
- Firebase Authentication for secure sign-in
- HTTPS/TLS for all data in transit
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with:
- Your match: Limited profile information is shared when you are matched.
- Service providers: Cloud hosting (AWS, MongoDB Atlas), sign-in, chat, push notifications and crash reporting (Google Firebase), subscription management (RevenueCat), an IP-based country lookup that pre-fills your country at sign-up, and content delivery services that help us operate.
- Legal requirements: When required by law or to protect safety.
5. Your Rights
You can:
- Access and download your personal data
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Delete your account and associated data
- Opt out of non-essential communications
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
7. Children's Privacy
Two Chairs is for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or email.
